Consumer Mood Slightly Better in March

The Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers said its preliminary index reading of confidence for March increased to 56.6 from 56.3 in February. Still, sentiment remains weak, as the index is not far from the record low of 51.7 that it reported in May 1980.
